Yakushima
by Fumihiko Kato

The people of Osaka 150 years ago drank water of the Dotombori River and lived

I met with an ukiyoe print
The original, good Japanese tradition picture that the Impressionists evaluated the ukiyoe print.
There was Japan 200 years ago there. And the Japanese 200 years ago lived.
I was impressed by the grand inheritance that they left.

Many people who visited Japan 200 years ago appreciated Japan.
Nature gave the four seasons in Japan and made beautiful country.
Japanese nature created a heart to feel nature in the heart of people.

I love Japanese traditions and learn and wish that I want to make use of it in my work.
